Oxlade-Chamberlain has netted four goals in just six starts across the Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup this term, and seems to be finding his mojo again after an extended period of absence with a knee injury.
However, his midweek heroics in Europe weren’t enough to see him named in Jurgen Klopp’s XI to take on Pep Guardiola’s back-to-back champions, a side who Oxlade-Chamberlain has netted twice against since arriving on Merseyside.
One fan said the decision from Klopp was “atrocious”, whereas another supporter said that they were “disappointed but not surprised” by the former Borussia Dortmund manager’s call.
