While results have improved, the performances perhaps haven’t been up to scratch under the 63-year-old and the home fans certainly don’t want him to stay beyond the end of the season – they were vocal in their criticism of the former England boss on Twitter again following the 1-1 draw against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
Everton supporters have been quick to have their say on the latest development on Allardyce’s future via social media, and while one said “laughing stock status confirmed”, another said it was “rather naïve of the club”.
