da bet vitoria: Sunderland fans are struggling to contain their excitement after a report suggested Niall Quinn could rescue the club from owner Ellis Short.
da stake casino: According to reports, Niall Quinn is in talks with an Irish businessman to take the club off Ellis Short’s hands.
Short, who bought the club in 2009, has taken plenty of flak from fans since his arrival, with many believing he is entirely to blame for the club’s current state.
While the report doesn’t give much detail about Quinn’s reported takeover, Sunderland fans can’t contain their excitement at the prospect of their former hero saving them for a second time.
The 51 year-old Irishman, who scored 61 league goals in 203 appearances for the Black Cats, saved the club before when he was part of a takeover in 2006. Not only did the club avoid relegation, manager Roy Keane guided them back to the Premier League.
Quinn stayed on as a chairman until 2011, when he was replaced by Ellis Short and appointed as Director of International Development, a position that he left a year later.
Fans are trying not to get carried away at the prospect of Quinn saving them again, but they’re not doing a very good job.
