da marjack bet: It’s been two years to the day that Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka announced himself with a rocket of a goal at Hull City, and quite fitting that he got on the scoresheet on Saturday against Newcastle with another long range strike.
da brwin: Xhaka has been a bit of a hot and cold figure in the Arsenal fan spectrum with many calling him too one dimensional, while others believe he still has lots to offer the club in terms of performance. The 25-year-old has been a regular starter though, since he joined the club in 2016 from Borussia Monchengladbach for £35m.
He has, however become famous for his ability to score goals from far out, much to the excitement of Arsenal fans and Saturday’s free-kick at St James’ Park was no different. After forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was brought down outside the box, Xhaka stepped up to line up the shot from about 25 yards out.
The Swiss international made no mistake with a stunning shot that flew into the top right corner of the Newcastle goal.
